Try this new twist on a smoothie for a jumpstart to your day.
1/2 banana, peeled
Komatsuna (Japanese mustard spinach) or spinach (to taste)
Prune purée* (to taste)
1 spoonful protein
1 cup soymilk
3/4-1 ½ cup water
Serving: 1 cup
1 1/3 cups (about 8 ounces) pitted dried plums
6 tablespoons hot water
Thoroughly wash the vegetables and fresh fruit in water. Place all the ingredients in the mixer and blend into a smoothie.
- You can adjust the portions of water and soymilk to easy-to-drink amounts.
- Add sweet soybean flour or honey for more of a smooth texture.
In food processor, process dried plums and water until puréed. Cover and refrigerate up to 1 month.
